Students are encouraged to ask good questions in class. This gives the tutor an opportunity to assess the student’s level of understanding to identify any conceptual misunderstanding while encouraging peer-to-peer discussion to allow collaborative learning.

We strive to train all our students to be good listeners. This develops focus skills, being the pre-requisite for the acquisition of new knowledge and concepts. The mastery of focus skills will be critical for their application of such intellectual information to various situations.

Students will attempt selected questions that enables them to clarify and apply their new knowledge learned. Tutors will also take this chance to pin-point and correct any answering mistakes to strengthen a student’s answer. Tutors will introduce a topic and encourage students to think deeply about how the topic is relevant to what has been introduced. This allows students to form their own neural links in the topic to enhance their long-term learning of the topic.

For every topic, tutors will guide students through a summary to consolidate their learning. This summary will allow students to paraphrase what they have learnt in a low-risk classroom setting to encourage the sharing of ideas to the learning group, facilitating an engaging discussion of topics at hand. He emphasizes on the need for targeted learning by monitoring each student's individual progress while working closely with students on a personal level to spur their interest.

As a problem-solving technique, he integrates daily life examples to guide students to apply logical thinking that will elevate their efficiency.

As HOD during his teaching stint in Secondary School, Mr Calvin has had much experience in educating and helping students achieve academic excellence. . Combining his love for education and cars, his methodology of teaching emphasizes on understanding with targeted practice.

Extremely approachable, Mr Calvin provides succinct advice about physics and life and works very closely with students by offering consultation throughout the academic year.

Using his knowledge in the field of Chemical Engineering, Mr John often draws relatable real world analogies in his classes to help his students remember and internalize the key concepts more effectively. Outside of the classroom, Mr John also makes himself available to help answer students' doubts any time they want to.

He creates a vibrant atmosphere in classes as he feels that it helps his students focus better. He understands that progress varies for each student and often looked out for what is required in each students and provide them with personalized notes accordingly.

More than just tackling questions with equations and formulas, Mr Jia Heng actively engages his students by probing them to think deeper. He encourages flexible thinking, by frequently showcasing that solving questions to not limited to a single way and explore the most efficient way in solving it.

Mr Ian is an alumnus of MOST and currently specialising in Pure Mathematics at NTU. He can communicate well with teenagers and want to equip them with skills to make mathematics simple and easy to understand. His aim is to inspire students with the joy of learning to love the same subject he does.

Mr Shaun teaches Biology. He demonstrates the application of key content understanding to the question, helping students to understand the subject better. By encouraging students to ask questions in class, Mr Shaun piques student's scientific curiosity.
